2010 was a crazy year filled with lots of surprises. If you were to ask me a year ago, where I would be in a year, I most likely wouldn’t be anywhere near the reality of it all. Check out my annual, end-of-year, post filled with my favorite images made throughout 2010 here.

About a month and a half ago I got an email from Mike Mackenzie, Associate Publisher of Photoshop User and Layers magazines, letting me know that they wanted me to be featured in Photoshop User magazine. I was thrilled to be featured in a magazine that I receive and read every month. Check out the story and see PDF images of the entire magazine feature spread here.

This past weekend I had the chance to photograph Vince Young’s annual celebrity basketball game here in Houston at Butler Sports Complex, a familiar spot for the native Houstonian. Earlier this month I spent a few hours with the University of Houston – Downtown‘s powerlifting team in their small gym space on their commuter campus downtown. The rather large team was cramped into a small public space in the school’s recreation center which made my assignment a little tough. What the team lacked in [...]

As a regular freelancer for The Houston Chronicle, a major metro daily, nearly half a million people see my pictures from day to day, but the next day many of the photos are either used as kindling, pooped on by pets or recycled. Of course they are archived by me, but are rarely shown. It [...]

Its been a while since I’ve posted on this (primary) blog. My music reviews/photos have re-spawned into a new blog called http://whatdoyoumeanimnotonthelist.blogspot.com and given the frequency of live music I’ve witnessed in the past few weeks, that blog has seen more action. It’s mostly a me thing, but hey if I can serve a purpose [...]
