Last week and this week have been pretty busy. I did two portrait shoots with a modern dancer named Lacey Grantz. We did one studio session on Thursday and did some fun outdoor, natural light stuff on Saturday. The top photo was from Saturday’s take and the bottom was from the studio session. We did a few shots outside during dusk. She was not the easiest to photograph due to her naturally shy and reserved personality, but we made it happen and I’ve been digging the images I’ve been editing from the sets. She is a great girl that is nervous posing in front of a camera, but is fine when shes being natural. The best photos are just in between shots when she didn’t even know I was shooting.
The University of Houston - Downtown powerlifting team is lead by head coach, Dr. John Hudson who has a Ph.D in English and is an ordained minister along with holding several state and national powerlifting records of his own. Despite being a tiny commuter school situated in a metro area, the University of Houston - Downtown is one of the top schools in the country for powerlifting, boasting several record holders and top-tier lifters. Here the team trains and their downtown Houston facility.
