WHEN IN TEXAS…

What a combination eh? I’ve been busy and have been meaning to make this post for a while now. The photo is from my good buddy, Chris and I’s trip to the world’s largest rodeo aka our own Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This year I had a total access credential via the Chronicle so with only a few days left of the rodeo Chris and I went and took it all in, while I wasn’t on assignment. When we see things like these it makes me wish I would have used my pass more and found more moments. Either way we had a great time and I made some interesting images. The image is of Jessica, a 17 year old girl who was sleeping with her gilt, Rose. It was also her birthday. I know a few 17 year olds and I would bet money that none of them want to spend their birthdays curled up next to a pig. When I wasn’t making images I was watching Chris win things in the carnival, he won a few little things and then we found a billiards game. Anyone that knows Chris knows he is a pool shark / hustler / aficionado / master so naturally he plays the maximum amount, runs the table and wins the largest prize. I picked out a huge green shark which seemed fitting. It was a good day.
