LAST MINUTE PORTRAITS

A good friend of mine and dancer for Planet Funk Academy, Rebekah, had paid me for some portraits many moons ago, however it wasn’t until now that our schedules allowed us to actually work some images. She called me late Wednesday night and I really was not ready for a shoot. I really wanted to shoot her outside, during the day, but we have seen nothing but torrential downpours and flooding here in Houston as of late. The space we were shooting in really did not aid much in my creative thought process, so I took the simple route. I think this image subtlety captures her love for dance (shoes) as well as her laid back attitude. Consequently this is my very first post, so hooray for the journey ahead. May it continue for years to come!
